Who is Nathan Snell?
I am the Internet Marketing Director at Talk, a creative communications agency in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Prior to Talk, I was the Vice President of Technology at National Speed, an automotive performance startup, where I managed their online and offline tech initiatives.
I love product development, having been involved in it for a number of years. I’ve also spent a large chunk of time in the internet marketing space, having designed/developed social internet properties/social networking sites and marketed to them. I have also worked with companies to help them utilize cutting edge technology to improve their strategic position.
I have my degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship & Business Development from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington (that’s a mouth full…).
I’m on the committee for the development of the Center of Entrepreneurship and Emerging Ventures in Wilmington, NC. I also speak monthly on panels or at universities on the topics of internet technology and its role in business development, as well as on internet marketing.
Fun facts
I’m a Christian.
I love my fiance, Stacy.
I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. I live in North Carolina now.
I have a cat. His name is Woofers. Sadly, I was not cruel enough to relocate woofers to NC, tearing him from his home in California, placing him far from all he once knew. I need to improve my cruel gene, I know.
I like naps. If I ever have the option, I am determined to have a couch in my work office. Guarantee if that happens you could catch me taking a quick 20 minute nap. I’d be more productive. True story.
I love business. Some may say a more appropriate term would be I’m obsessed with it. I like to say love as it implies more of a relationship. Obsessed, on the other hand, makes me think of business giving me the stink-eye while I follow it around during the day and call late at night just to hear its voice. It’s not so much like that.
I love anything creative. Truthfully, this is more of an obsession.
I’m an extrovert, and have a passion for instilling change.
I think sushi is delicious. Hockey is also delicious.
I’ve been fascinated and involved (business-wise) with technology since I was 11. It could be sooner but I’m not sure. Basically I’m a technological addict.
I have a thing for the piano and melodic, European metal. Not sure why.
This blog is a refocus of myself. You can see all of my previous stuff over on Giddlebits, where I am no longer updating (as I am updating here).
