To everyone who took the time to e-mail me best wishes and lend help after I was laid off, many thanks! I appreciate all of you, those who just gave me an encouraging word, those who sent me some contract work when I was first laid off to help with some of the bills, and those who contacted friends for me- you all are great, more than great!
I would have posted sooner, but I have thankfully been busy working to get things organized at my new job. It is quite the blessing, as about 2 and 1/2 weeks after having been laid off, I was brought on board as the Internet Marketing Director with a marketing company here in Wilmington called Talk. It’s been a fun and interesting transition, going from a startup into a firm type environment… though we’re not so different, you and I.
One thing that lead me to Talk that we both share in a healthy hunger for the cutting edge and the ability to help clients integrate it. Plus Talk really knows its marketing and PR.
What I will be doing at Talk is to help them really strengthen and grow their internet marketing area, both with elements of social media marketing (SMM), search engine marketing (SEM), web development, internet strategy, and more. I think Talk will be a great platform that takes advantage of my business development background/education and my marketing experience. I am happy to now be a part of their skilled and knowledgeable team.
Another thing I love about Talk is their understanding of social media, both in its use and in the need to continue to experiment with it. You can find the Talk team via:

Great post Nathan! Thanks for the kind words about the Talk team. We’re all thrilled to have you aboard.
