Happy Anniversary, Sara

It’s been a year since I first met Sara. We met at the first InterVarsity Beach Retreat I went to. It’s funny, actually, how well I remember it all. We were in the same small group, and I have the image of her sitting in a plastic lawn chair, her knee’s pulled tight up in front of her as she peered over them. She had made comments during the small group discussion, and they were very intelligent comments, I remember. While I had met a lot of girls, for whatever reason, just how beautiful she was, combined with her fantastic intellect and her quaint style made me fall for her. I fell quite fast, actually. Thankfully, she did, too.

I’m not going to describe it all, because, well, she is the author, not me :) She certainly does a better job of it, too (she’s amazing)! Oh, I also recall she looked really good in a bathing suit, or so I had noticed at the retreat ;)

But I would be doing a great disservice to not give her a public wishing of happiness here. If for nothing else, because she knows how much I love marketing and technology, and how much this blog is an outlet for that. But beyond that, by posting it here, I can quite visibly show that how much I love her transcends even the greatest of my passions.

I cannot in the same breath say the above without also giving a great thank you to her as well. Without even trying to express how much her being in my life means to me, and how much her support for all the things I love matters. For any successes I have had since I met her, she is in part responsible. Just as many of the posts you see her (probably including this one) would not be up to the quality that they are were it not for her. To think that, as someone who isn’t really a business person, she would read every post I write here both to make sure I make no mistakes, delivering something great to you all, and to continually get even more a look into what it is I love- I don’t even know how to say how thankful I am for Sara and how much I love her.

Really, I never knew how much I would come to care for someone. It amaze me daily just to think about it. While this post isn’t a lot (and not to worry all, I am certainly doing more for. This is just the beginning!) I hope it is at least a pleasant display of how important Sara is to me, and how much of a joy she is in my life.

Update: Kept forgetting to ad it. She apparently wrote her own version over on her blog.
